Psychiatry
I offer psychiatric assessment and treatment planning for adults seeking help with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties - including anxiety, depression, trauma, relational challenges, and experiences that may not fit neatly into diagnostic categories.
My approach is psychodynamically informed - attention is paid not only to symptoms, but to the unique context in which they arise.
Initial assessments are usually 75 to 90 minutes in length - sometimes followed by a shorter second consult. This time allows for a fuller understanding of the issues at hand and for thinking together about what kind of support might be most helpful - whether that involves medication, therapy, or another form of care.
I am registered with ACC to provide assessment and treatment under the Sensitive Claims Service. Where appropriate, I also provide psychiatric reports for ACC, Mental Health Act evaluations, or second opinions.
As an independent practitioner, I am not equipped to provide crisis care or intensive psychiatric follow-up. In emergencies, please contact local mental health services directly.
Fees
• Initial assessment: $900 (up to 90 minutes, incl. GST)
• Follow-up: $450/hour (typically 30–45 minutes, incl. GST)
• Reports: quoted individually depending on complexity
